On June 22nd, Eurocircle was organising a social inclusion event in Marseille in order to promote the results of the project CLOSER which was focused on social inclusion and raising awareness among local community on good practices that have been set up in order to facilitate inclusion of groups at risk.
Within the Closer project a compendium of good practices was editing that gathered the best practices in each partner country (Slovakia, France, Spain, Italy and Georgia). During the French event, some local partners, whose practices is in the compendium were invited to present and promote their inclusion projects and activities. The event was then the opportunity to debate on social inclusion around a buffet prepared by la Table de Cana, pioneer in terms of social inclusion in this working area, as it employs people who have been unemployed for a long time or facing difficulties to integrate the professional path. The place which welcomed the event, la Ruche, is a co-working place welcoming people from social and solidarity economy sector.
The guests were then invited to watch the film « Manana Inschallah » by Léa Lazic, Mattia Carroro et Otto Reuschel, which tells the story of people facing exclusion dilemmas in Mellila, a Spanish enclave in Morocco, and unique European boarder on the African continent.
