We landed in Marrakech for the first step of the project R@R, coordinated by Eurocircle.
3 countries, 3 meetings and 18 youngsters for an intercultural exchange allowing the development of a common thinking about up-to-date topics in connection with discrimination, radicalisation and extremism.
The project consists in using Art in public space in order to produce an artistic project. An elaborated group work developed during 3 meetings that will permit during the last step in Marseille to show a performance including public into a citizen’s approach of promoting the culture of peace, intercultural dialogue and inter-religious in order to stem extremist ideologies and hatred speeches.
We want to empower the intercultural dialogue, permit the emergence of a citizen speech, and encourage youth actions to fight against forms of radicalism and hatred speeches.
Thanks to Éclats de Lune and Awaln’Art who welcomed us really well in the Conserverie, a wonderful place in the city ; we started the experience of living in community. Through group activities, writing exercises and handmade works, we learnt about eachother, to play together with our creativity and express our opinions about the topics. Curiosity and the will to communicate permitted us to work in harmony while reaching the objectives.
The next step will take place in Hambourg on the end of June, where the association Altonale will welcome us with other artists, and will give us conceptual inputs about European citizenship. The team will develop the artistic project with using intercultural learning as way of socio-professional and cultural insertion.
Let’s keep in touch!
