Keep me safe

Did you know that in 2014, the Council of Europe estimated that up to 25% of young people experience sexual abuse ? According to the institution, “’available data suggest that 1 in 5 children in Europe are victims of some form of sexual violence”.

With Eramus+ strategic partnership project “Keep Me Safe”, we hope to tackle this issue and offer tools and methods for youth workers supporting children and youngsters victims of sexual abuses.  For the next 2 years, we will work on this project along with Rinova (Project leader – UK), Hope for Children CRC Policy Centre (Cyprus), ZRS (Slovenia) SoSu East Jutland (Denmark), Know and Can (Bulgaria) and London Youth (UK).

The project includes a curriculum programme for youth workers; a new approach to developing ‘youth peers’ whereby young people are empowered together to tackle sexual violences issues, and a digital learning app that will enhance these initiatives through online interface.

You will be able to keep in touch with the project through the regular newsletters and bulletins that each of the partners will publish through their social media, you can access ours via the homepage of this website, currently under construction www.keepmesafe.EU.

There will be opportunities to get involved in the training we will develop later in the year and we will also host a conference together with London Youth towards the end of the project in London in February 2021, at which we will be able to showcase the results.  So if you would like to stay in touch directly or if you are interested in getting involved in the project, contact Eurocircle at relations.eu@eurocircle.info.
